abstract

cardaria draba is an important, troublesome weed in the sustainable production of wheat. inthe first step of this study, 100 actinomycete isolates were purified from soil samples collectedfrom the rhizosphere and phyllosphere of plants in different provinces of iran. all isolates weresubjected to primary screening by assaying the fermentation broth of the sterile surfaces of c.draba leaves. considerable herbicidal activity was observed for four isolates. during secondaryscreening and assaying of the extracted culture medium with ethyl acetate, two isolates, streptomyces sp. utmc 2102 and streptomyces sp. utmc 2104, were selected as superiorphytotoxin-producing isolates in the biological control of c. draba. leaf necrosis was observedin 500 and 1000 μg/ml and ≥100 μg/ml dilutions for isolates utmc 2102 and utmc 2104,respectively. phylogenic identification confirmed that the 16s rrna gene has 100% similarityto streptomycin anulatus for the isolate streptomyces sp. utmc 2102 and 100% similarity tostreptomyces vinaceusdrappus for the isolate streptomyces sp. utmc 2104. these resultssuggest that the s. anulatus and s. vinaceusdrappus isolates can be used in the biological controlof c. draba in wheat fields.

Isolation of L-Glutaminase Producing Marine Actinomycetes

L Glutaminase, a therapeutic enzyme obtained from marine Actinomycetes gains importance because of their adaptability to varied environmental factors. An experimental study was carried out to isolate the L glutaminase producing actinomycetes from the marine sediment of Thoothukudi. Marine sediment sample was collected from six different locations of the Thoothukudi coastal ecosystem, enriched w...

Isolation, Screening and Characterization of Hyaluronidase Producing Bacteria

Hyaluronidase has a panoramic use in biotechnology processes and therapy due to its therapeutic, pathophysiological, physiological and biological importance. Since much of the preparations of hyaluronidases are from animal source (bovine and ovine testicular sources) with limited sources of microbial origin, that prompted the authors to screen and isolate a new promising bacterial strain ...

development and implementation of an optimized control strategy for induction machine in an electric vehicle

in the area of automotive engineering there is a tendency to more electrification of power train. in this work control of an induction machine for the application of electric vehicle is investigated. through the changing operating point of the machine, adapting the rotor magnetization current seems to be useful to increase the machines efficiency. in the literature there are many approaches wh...

Isolation and identification of L-asparaginase producing actinomycetes from Persian Gulf

Introduction: L-asparaginase is an anti-neoblastic agent used in the chemotherapy of lymphoblastic leukemia. This enzyme is widely distributed among microorganisms, plants and animals, but microorganisms have proved to be a better alternative for L-asparaginase, thus facilitating its large-scale production. Actinomycetes are filamentous, Gram-positive bacteria widely distributed in the marine e...
